Owen Cadwalader Presents at NovCare 2011
Release Date:
06/06/11
On Tuesday, May 10, 2011, Owen Cadwalader, a geochemist in Geosyntec’s Boston office, presented at
NovCare 2011
, a forum on advanced methods for subsurface characterization and monitoring organized by leading universities in the United States and Germany. In his presentation titled, “Real-time and Low Cost Performance Monitoring Methods for Ozone Treatment of VOCs in the Vadose Zone,” Owen discussed a real-time soil gas monitoring system developed by Geosyntec to examine the performance of an ozone injection remedy for a mix of VOCs in the subsurface with the objective of optimizing the efficiency of installed systems.
Owen also presented results of the firm’s work with the Waterloo Membrane Sampler™ (WMS™), demonstrating that these innovative gas samplers offer a low-cost, qualitative alternative to more expensive soil sampling techniques by providing compatible soil gas data.
