Geosyntec Personnel to Present at Upcoming Philadelphia LID Symposium, September 25 – 28, 2011

Eight Geosyntec personnel will be making six presentations at the upcoming Philadelphia Low Impact Development Symposium, September 25 – 28:

  • Joe Jeray (Brookline) will present Optimizing LID Performance with Real-Time Controls on Monday, September 26 at 3:40 p.m. during Session 21 – Models II/Track VI Models & CSOs
  • Judd Goodman, P.E. (Oakland), and co-author Aaron Poresky, P.E. (Portland), will present Implementing LID-Based Hydromodification Controls on Tuesday, September 27 at 1:45 p.m. during Session 42 – Attenuation/Track III Assessing LID  
  • Aaron Poresky, P.E., and co-authors Kelly Havens (Oakland), and Lisa Austin, P.E. (Oakland), will present Application of LID BMP Technical Infeasibility Guidelines to a Master Planned Development in Los Angeles County on Tuesday, September 27 at 3:45 p.m. during Session 50 – City Planning III/Track IV Planning and Standards
  • Andrea Braga, P.E., CPESC (Brookline), will present Permeable Friction Course (PFC) Asphalt Overlay and Advanced Rainwater harvesting System:  Construction, Monitoring and Results on Wednesday, September 28 at 8:30 a.m. during Session 58 – Transportation I/Track V Cities and Streets
  • Phil Reidy, P.E. (Brookline), and co-author Aaron Poresky, P.E., will present The Role of Harvesting and Onsite Use in Stormwater Control and CSO Mitigation on Wednesday, September 28 at 10:55 a.m. during Session 63 – Water Harvesting II/Track II SCMs II
  • Brandon Klenzendorf, Ph.D. (Austin), will present Permeable Friction Course for Improving Highway Runoff on Wednesday, September 28 at 10:55 a.m. during Session 66 – Transportation II/Track V Cities and Streets

The LID Symposium brings together into a single venue three programs sharing common interests in sustainable approaches to urban stormwater management:  ASCE Environmental & Water Resources Institute 5th Annual National LID Conference, Environmental Protection Agency 19th Annual Nonpoint Source (NPS) Monitoring Workshop, and Villanova Urban Stormwater Partnership 2011 Pennsylvania Stormwater Management Symposium - Sustainable Stormwater and LID.  Co-hosts for this event are Villanova University, North Carolina State University, and the University of Maryland—College Park.  For more information, please contact Aaron Poresky at or 503-222-9518.
