Waterloo Area's Top Employers
competition recognizes the employers in the Kitchener-Waterloo -Guelph area that "lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work." Winners of the award were announced Nov. 26 in two special features published by the
Waterloo Region Record
and the
Guelph Mercury

In Guelph, Geosyntec's operation received recognition along with the University of Guelph and the George Morris Centre for Agri-Food Research and Education, an economic think tank. The honorees in the larger tri-city area include Research In Motion Ltd., Equitable Life of Canada Inc., Waste Management of Canada Corp., and the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics.
Employers are evaluated by eight criteria that, together, assess physical workplace, professional and social atmosphere, benefits, employee communications, performance management, professional development opportunities, and community involvement.
