, set for March 25-29 in Oakland, Calif.
The annual event, sponsored by the
Geo-Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers
(ASCE), is among the leading geotechnical engineering professional conferences in the world. Industry leaders have been selected to address the state of the practice for geotechnical engineering, and dozens of senior professionals have been tapped to present on best practices during the five-day assembly.
Geosyntec President and CEO Rudy Bonaparte has been asked to present one of this year’s State of the Practice sessions, The Business of Geotechnics. In addition, Geosyntec Principal and Chairman Emeritus Pat Lucia will present a second State of the Practice session, The Practice of Geotechnical Forensic Engineering.
Additional presentations by Geosyntec professionals will include Site Response Analysis in Transportation Engineering Practice - A TRB Survey by
Neven Matasovic (Huntington Beach), part of the Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering session, and Settlement Monitoring Program for a Proposed Multipurpose Site Development by Fabrizio Settepani (Oakland), part of the Landfill Settlement session moderated by Principal Hari Sharma (Oakland).
