David Reynolds, Ph.D., P.Eng, and Gary Wealthall, Ph.D. – both associates based in Geosyntec's Ontario offices – will co-present a four-day training course to remediation professionals interested in contaminant hydrogeology this week in Melbourne, Australia.
The course, "Investigation, Remediation, and Management of Contaminated Soil and Groundwater," is sponsored by the Australian Contaminated Land Consultants Association (ACLCA). Drs. Reynolds and Wealthall are presenting the course in conjunction with Bernard Kueper, Ph.D, P.Eng., a professor of engineering and applied science at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario.
The full course is the successor to a historically successful and popular series of courses given by the presenters and offered previously through Australia's National Centre for Groundwater Research and Training. In parallel to this event, Drs. Reynolds and Wealthall will give a presentation to ACLCA members on the bioremediation of source zones and fractured bedrock sites.
The ACLCA formed in 1995 to provide a voice to decision makers in Australia and internationally on matters associated with contaminated land management. The association represents the major environmental consulting firms involved in the assessment and management of contaminated sites in Australia.
