The ABA section's three-day event will be held October 10-13 at the Hilton Austin, 500 East 4th St. in Austin, Texas. Mr. Berman's presentation, "Battle-Tested Environmental Liability Valuation: Defensible Cost Estimates for Decision Makers," is set for noon on October 12.
Geosyntec is proud to be an annual sponsor of the ABA's Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources for 2012. This section presents the nation's premier forum for lawyers and other professionals working in areas related to the environment, natural resources, and the energy sector.
It includes more than 1,100 members who enjoy opportunities to enhance their professional skills, stay on top of current developments, and broaden their understanding of various legal issues that apply to the nation's natural resources and energy infrastructure.
The theme for this year's fall meeting is "Our Tangled Web of Energy Policies and Practices: Their Natural Resource and Environmental Consequences Examined." Leading attorneys, academics, in-house counsel, NGO and government representatives, and environmental management and remediation professionals will discuss current topics of relevance to the nation's ongoing energy challenges, including the array of national, state, and local regulations that impact the energy sector.
Mr. Berman is a recognized expert in environmental liability valuation, having conducted such analyses for thousands of sites in the context of business decision making and environmental litigation.
