Majdi Othman, Ph.D., P.E., (Georgia) has accepted an invitation to be co-editor of the ASTM Geotechnical Testing Journal starting in January 2018.
A Senior Principal Engineer with more than 25 years of engineering experience focused on geotechnical, environmental, and civil engineering projects, Majdi said "I am excited about serving in this role, as it will help me be more connected with geotechnical research and will give me and Geosyntec more interaction with our colleagues in the geotechnical community."
The Geotechnical Testing Journal informs the geotechnical engineering profession of new developments in soil and rock testing and related fields; provides a forum for the exchange of information, particularly that which leads to the development of new test procedures; and stimulates active participation of geotechnical professionals in the work of ASTM International Committee D18 on Soil and Rock and related information.
ASTM International is a globally recognized leader in the development and delivery of voluntary consensus standards. Today, over 12,000 ASTM standards are used around the world to improve product quality, enhance health and safety, strengthen market access and trade, and build consumer confidence.
