Christopher Saranko, Ph.D., DABT, has joined Geosyntec Consultants as a senior toxicologist and an Associate of the firm based in Georgia. He has more than 15 years of research and consulting experience evaluating potential risks associated with exposures to chemicals in the environment, the workplace, and consumer products.
Dr. Saranko conducts chemical fate and transport analyses of pollutants emitted by a variety of industrial sources and consumer products to develop exposure and dose estimates. He also has experience evaluating potential interactions among chemicals and developing risk-based target levels for environmental remediation solutions.
Dr. Saranko is a member of the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council's (ITRC) Risk Assessment Team and previously served on the ITRC's Incremental Sampling Methodology team, for which he was among the practitioners to prepare the ITRC's guidance on the use of incremental sampling data for risk assessment. He also is an adjunct professor in the University of Georgia's College of Public Health, for which he provides instruction to undergraduate and graduate students on toxicology and risk assessment topics.
