ATLANTA, Ga. — Geosyntec Consultants congratulates Cuneyt Gokmen, PE, on his appointment as Associate. Cuneyt, who joined Geosyntec in 1996, is based in the firm's Atlanta area office.
Cuneyt has served as project engineer/manager on a number of technically challenging projects across the United States involving residuals associated with perchlorate manufacturing, alum processing, chromite ore processing, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Since 2004, his primary focus has been on the successful development and execution of assignments at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia's largest industrial complex. Cuneyt has led initiatives at Robins involving environmental restoration, manufacturing process/facility operations pollution prevention, and environmental compliance and other activities supporting the Base's environmental mission. His efforts have included high visibility assignments involving remedial process optimization and annual assessment of groundwater treatment system performance across the entire installation.
Cuneyt received his BS in civil engineering from Dokuz Eylul University in Turkey and his MS in geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La. Cuneyt is a registered professional engineer in Georgia.
