Members of the Geosyntec Consultants team specializing in construction management, contaminant hydrogeology, and remediation engineering will be among attendees of the 7th Annual Conference on Design and Construction Issues at Hazardous Waste Sites (DCHWS), set for April 10-12 in Philadelphia.
The event, organized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), is one of the nation's leading forums for professionals who design and address construction issues at hazardous waste sites. Attendees discuss effective methods used, lessons learned, and applications of new and existing technologies at some of the nation's most complex engineering projects.
Attending this year's event on behalf of Geosyntec are Derek Tomlinson (Philadelphia) and Christopher Voci (Philadelphia). In addition, other members of the Geosyntec team will have presentation posters on display at the event. These include:

For 2012, USEPA and USACE officials anticipate having up to six panel sessions across the topic areas of project management, site characterization, lessons learned, case studies, remediation techniques and strategies, and industry experience. In addition, an open session entitled Matching Design Scope to Project Characteristics will be held April 10 to discuss experiences related to over-design versus under-design, and resultant risks to various parties.
