Geosyntec Completes Brownfield Redevelopment for Home Depot in California

The Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board has granted full site closure to a store operated by Home Depot in Burbank, California.

Home Depot retained Geosyntec in 2000 to design and operate a remedy to address the vadose zone and shallow groundwater contamination at a former defense manufacturing facility within Southern California's San Fernando Valley. After 16 years of advanced remediation of legacy contamination (vadose zone and shallow groundwater), the site has attained regulatory closure.
