ATLANTA, Ga. — Geosyntec is pleased to announce that the firm has been ranked Number 1 nationally among large firms and Number 2 overall in the 2008 "Best Firm to Work For" competition, based on a survey of environmental firms by the Environmental Business Journal. This is the first year that environmental firms had a category separate from other civil engineering specialty firms. Unlike other benchmarking surveys that the firm participates in, the Best Firm to Work For survey offers all employees the opportunity to provide input on the company's culture and work experience. Geosyntec will analyze this year's survey results as part of its ongoing efforts to provide its staff with an employment experience that offers interesting professional assignments, compensation that rewards performance and contributes to financial security, and benefits that enhance the work-life balance.
Geosyntec is also pleased to announce that its Boston office was named as the winner among medium size member firms by the Environmental Business Council of New England for its 2008 "Best Places to Work" challenge. The Council's survey evaluated each firm's work environment flexibility, growth and training, communication, performance recognition, and commitment to hiring "top-notch employees." They also evaluated how firms were addressing some of the most challenging areas facing our industry: compensation and benefits, mentoring, recruiting, and technology in the workplace.
