Ravi Arulanantham, Ph.D. (California), will be participating as a panelist for the seminar series: Hazardous Waste and Sites, hosted by the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) in Washington D.C. on July 17, 2018.
Ravi is a Senior Principal Consultant based in California with more than 20 years of experience focused on risk assessment and remediation management. He is recognized as a leader in applying risk-based decision-making to the development of remediation strategies for environmentally impacted sites.
ELI's complimentary brown-bag lunch seminars feature experts to introduce major environmental statutes, including the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), and land use law. The Hazardous Waste and Sites seminar will focus on events that led to the enactment of CERCLA and address uncertainties that still exist in RCRA, such as the definition of waste and the rules for recycling. Ravi and the other panelists will be reviewing specific cases, suggested best practices, and will also incorporate major regulatory and judicial updates to CERCLA and RCRA.
The seminar will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 PM EDT at the Environmental Law Institute, and via webinar. The event is free; however, you must register with ELI and RSVP by July 16 to attend in person or through the webinar.
