Geosyntec Announces Appointment of Robert Bachus, as Georgia Tech Adjunct Professor

ATLANTA, Ga. — Geosyntec announces the appointment of Robert Bachus, PhD, PE, as Adjunct Professor with the Georgia Institute of Technology's (Georgia Tech) School of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

Dr. Bachus, a principal engineer based in Georgia with more than 30 years of experience, focuses on geotechnical engineering, geosynthetic engineering, waste by-product characterization, and waste containment. In fact, he is nationally recognized for his expertise in geotechnical site characterization, in situ and laboratory testing, settlement and slope stability analysis, and performance monitoring of geotechnical and earthen structure systems.

As an Adjunct Professor, Dr. Bachus will provide undergraduate and graduate instruction, offer graduate student guidance, contribute to research activities, and participate in seminars and committees on behalf of the university.

Dr. Bachus earned his Doctorate degree from Stanford University in geotechnical engineering. In addition, he received his Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the University of Illinois, Chicago Circle, in civil engineering.
