Geosyntec Practitioners to Speak at Florida Lake Management Society's 30th Annual Technical Symposium

Eric Sager, P.G.; Erin Reed, Ph.D., P.E.; Mike Hardin, Ph.D., P.E. (Florida); and Jared Ervin, Ph.D. (California) will speak at the Florida Lake Management Society's (FLMS) 30th Annual Technical Symposium at the Hawks Cay Resort in Duck Key, Florida on August 27-30, 2019.

Eric is speaking on PFAS contamination in water to close Session A1: Indian River Lagoon-Identifying Problems. Erin and Brandon will speak on identifying the sources of bacteria and nutrients in Session B2: Algae and Bacteria Investigations. Mike and his co-presenter, Tara Urbanik, will be summarizing the nutrient inputs to an urban lake in Session A6: Urban Lake Management.

Eric is a Principal Geologist based in Florida with more than 20 years of experience in site assessment, remedial design/implementation/construction, operations, maintenance, monitoring, permitting, compliance, regulatory negotiations, and program management.

Erin is a Water Resources Engineer based in Florida with more than 16 years of experience in water quality monitoring, stormwater management, watershed modeling, pollutant load assessment, water and wastewater treatment, and the evaluation and remediation of nutrients in the environment.

Jared is a Project Professional based in California specializing in pollutant source tracking and is currently assisting clients with multiple water quality and pollutant source tracking investigations across the country. He also focuses on surface and groundwater quality, pollutant source tracking
advanced forensic tools, and environmental microbiology.

Mike is a Water Resources Engineer based in Florida with more than 13 years of experience, including watershed assessments, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, GIS data analysis, evaluating best management practices (BMPs), developing dam emergency action plans (EAP), and water quality modeling.
 
The mission of FLMS is to promote protection, enhancement, conservation, restoration, and management of Florida's aquatic resources; provide a forum for education and information exchange; and advocate environmentally sound and economically feasible lake and aquatic resources management for the citizens of Florida.
