Suzanne Gabriele Co-Chairs the CEMS Fall Conference

Suzanne Gabriele (Denver) is co-chairing the Colorado Environmental Management Society's (CEMS') fall conference at the Champions Club at the Broncos Stadium at Mile High in Denver, Colorado on October 15, 2019.

Suzanne and her co-chair provided leadership for the team that established the conference theme, selected speakers, developed the agenda, and secured sponsorships.

The theme is Economic Growth and Sustainability: Finding the Balance between Population Growth and Environmental Stewardship. Geosyntec is a sponsor of the conference.

Suzanne is a Principal Consultant based in Colorado with more than 25 years of professional experience focused in the areas of environmental policy and management systems development and implementation, environmental compliance, and environmental site assessment and remediation for clients in a variety of industries including mining, manufacturing, and food processing.

According to recent census data, Colorado is the second fastest growing state in the nation with several front range cities ranked in the top 100 of fastest growing U.S. cities. This conference will explore past, present, and future threats to Colorado's environment, focusing on population growth. Presentations will focus on minimizing and mitigating the environmental impacts of land development, use, and natural resource extraction, and maximizing enjoyment of what many consider to be the happiest place on earth.

CEMS was created in 1985 to provide a forum for the exchange of information concerning technologies, laws and regulations, and other current developments pertaining to environmental health and safety matters and waste management issues.
