ANN ARBOR — Geosyntec welcomes Joe Esseichick, CHMM, CPG, as Senior Scientist in the Ann Arbor, Mich., office. Most recently, he spent over five years with General Motors (GM), where one of his primary responsibilities was to develop and implement a common, global risk identification, management, and monitoring process. In an earlier position at GM, he was responsible for internal environmental, health and safety regulatory compliance auditing. He led or participated in over 50 environmental, health and safety, compliance or business process audits at a variety of GM manufacturing facilities in the US, Canada, Brazil, Korea, and China.
Prior to GM, Joe spent 13 years in the environmental consulting world, where he provided an array of services for his clients ranging from leading ISO 14001 Environmental Management System implementation efforts at 12 GM facilities and conducting demolition-related hazardous materials surveys to participating in anthrax bioterrorism response sampling and remediation activities and completing soil and groundwater investigations.
Joe joins Geosyntec as a key contributor to the firm's fast-growing Environmental Management practice focusing on providing cost-effective environmental management solutions to our clients. He is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager and Certified Professional Geologist. Joe earned his MBA from the New York Institute of Technology/Ellis College, and BS in environmental science from Southern Connecticut State University.
