Since 1983, Geosyntec has provided pioneering design, construction, energy source, closure, post-closure, and redevelopment services on more than 2,000 solid waste facility projects around the world.
Lifecycle Waste Disposal Facility Services
Geosyntec offers the full range of professional services required in the lifecycle of waste management facilities, including planning, siting, permitting, and construction; environmental protection system operation and compliance management; green energy source design and carbon/emissions management support; closure designs and post-closure monitoring; and responsible redevelopment.
Our professionals work with government agencies and leading universities to develop new technology applications for industrial and municipal waste disposal facilities, including our work with the U.S. EPA to develop draft and final technical guidances for RCRA and CERCLA final cover systems, and assessments and recommendations for improving waste containment systems performance.

Landfill Gas Services for Waste Disposal Facilities: Technology in Practice
Geosyntec’s innovation helps our clients create alternate revenue streams from landfill gas by converting it to compressed natural gas as a transportation fuel, medium BTU fuel for on-site or off-site heating, or conditioning for direct use in a landfill gas to energy system.
Our practitioners work closely with landfill owners, operators, and contractors in all landfill gas related compliance issues. We have successfully obtained permits for landfill gas flares and LFGTE facilities, including in severe nonattainment areas. We develop strategies that allow our clients to manage their air emission portfolios and plan future projects to be compliant with air regulations. We have excellent technical relationships with state and federal regulators throughout the country. We are recognized in the industry for our technology leadership.
