Geosyntec's Chairman Emeritus Patrick C. Lucia (California) was inducted into the Academy of Distinguished Alumni in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department (CEE) at the University of California, Berkeley, on October 6, 2016.
Pat was honored for his many years of practice leadership as a nationally-recognized authority in forensic engineering and risk management as applied to geotechnical and underground construction issues; for business leadership as long-time Board Chairman for a leading national engineering company; and for long-time support to the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering through teaching, lectures, and collaborative relationships with faculty.
The Academy of Distinguished Alumni members are Berkeley Almuni that are truly noteworthy and have contributed greatly to societal well‐being and development, both in the U.S. and around the globe. Berkeley alumni justifiably take pride in their education and in knowing that year in and year out, CEE at Berkeley is at the top of national rankings for civil and environmental engineering programs.
