Geosyntec Announces Senior Principal Promotions
Geosyntec is pleased to announce the promotion of Brian Hitchens, Brian Petty, Christopher Greene, Jamie deLemos, Julianna Connolly, Kirk Craig, Matthew Bardol, and Scott Sheridan to Senior Principals within the Geosyntec Family of Companies. These individuals have each made substantial contributions leading the development and delivery of highly-valued solutions to our clients, recruiting and mentoring our next generation of exceptional staff, growing our practice capabilities, and collaborating with colleagues across the firm. Brian's practice began in advanced site characterization, and has developed to include a variety of in situ remedial technologies (including enhanced bioremediation and the first commercial field scale implementation of In-Situ Gaseous Reduction of hexavalent chromium), PCB and sediment remediation, data management, and litigation support. Brian earned a M.S. in Structural Geology from the University of Wyoming in 1999 and a B.A. in Geology from the College of Wooster in 1997.
Brian's practice is focused on process engineering, industrial water management, site assessment, and remediation system design. Brian provides his technical knowledge and experience to a wide range of projects throughout the United States. His clients include electronics and aerospace manufacturers, cement manufacturers, pesticide manufacturers, and oil and gas producers. Brian earned a MBA from California State University, Fullerton in 2007, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2001.
Chris' practice is focused on the design, management, and construction of remediation systems, with particular expertise in sediment management. He is a key contributor to Geosyntec's nationwide sediments practice. Chris earned a M.S. in Engineering Management from Tufts University in 2004, a M.S. in Environmental Geotechnology from Tufts University in 1999, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering Technology from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1995.
Jamie's academic training and associated consulting practice was originally built around her expertise in soil and aqueous geochemistry, with particular focus on the occurrence, transport, and fate of metals and radionuclides in the environment. In response to market needs, she has developed an expert-level site history/forensics practice. She earned a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Tufts University in 2008; a M.S. in Earth Sciences from Dartmouth College in 2003 and a B.A. in Geosciences from Skidmore College in 2001.
Julianna's practice is focused on risk-based closure for contaminated properties, human health risk assessment, vapor intrusion assessment and mitigation, and environmental due diligence. Julianna earned an M.Eng. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2003 and a B.A. in Chemistry and Environmental Studies from Williams College in 2001.
Kirk's primary expertise is in the characterization and remediation of impacted soil, soil gas and groundwater at industrial and commercial properties. His broad technical expertise, regulatory compliance knowledge, and ability to relate to clients enable him to effectively meet client needs and provide regulatory agencies with innovative, cost-effective solutions. Kirk earned a M.S. in Environmental Sciences and Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 2001 and a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Florida in 1996.
Matt's practice focus includes stormwater modeling and design, hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, NPDES stormwater and wetland permitting, water quality analysis, and erosion control and site civil design. Matt has played a key role in conducting detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies to obtain revisions to FEMA's Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) and Flood Insurance Studies (FIS) for clients. He has particular expertise in stormwater management design and
in permitting for NPDES, dam safety, and wetlands. Matt earned a M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California in 2002, a M.S. in Environmental Management from the Hardin-Simmons University in 1999, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1996.
Scott's practice is focused on providing engineering, construction management, and consulting services to solid waste, power utility, and industrial clients. Scott has broad experience in solid waste design, permitting, construction, operation, and financial management for clients. Scott earned a M.E. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida in 2003, a M.S. in Statistics from the University of Florida in 1997, and a B.S. in Statistics from the University of South Carolina in 1995.
