Dr. Gary Wealthall Appointed Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto
Dr. Gary Wealthall (Guelph) has been appointed as Adjunct Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry at the University of Toronto (U of T). This appointment consolidates his current collaboration with Professor Elizabeth Edwards and provides an opportunity to extend his links with other distinguished academics including Professor Barbara Sherwood Lollar (Earth Sciences) and Professor Brent Sleep (Civil Engineering).
He was previously an Adjunct Professor at the University of Guelph for the university's bedrock course. He held that position from 2012-2015.

Dr. Gary Wealthall is a Senior Principal Hydrogeologist based in Toronto with more than 25 years of experience in remediation research and practice. He advises regulatory authorities and clients in the chemical, waste disposal, land development, and insurance industries.
At U of T, Dr. Elizabeth Edwards is a professor in the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and is the Director of BioZone – Centre for Applied Bioscience and Bioengineering. In 2016, she was awarded the Killam Prize which recognizes and awards scholars and scientists from Canada that are active in their research. She specializes in the bioremediation of hydrocarbon contamination, including chlorinated solvents.
Dr. Gary Wealthall and Dr. Elizabeth Edwards are currently collaborating on a project to develop a bioremediation remedy for chlorobenzenes and other organic compounds at the Camaçari industrial facility in Bahia, Brasil.
