Rishab Mahajan Presented on Water Quality Modeling at the Fox River Study Group in Illinois
Rishab Mahajan, P.E., CFM, CPSWQ (Illinois) gave a presentation entitled "Fox River Water Quality Modeling Update" at the Fox River Study Group (FRSG) Annual Meeting at the Fox Metro Water Reclamation District on October 25, 2018.
Other presenters at the meeting were Cindy Skrukrud who presented "Fox River Water Quality Trends Analysis," and Tom Muth and Karen Clementi who presented "Fox Metro Environmental Initiatives and Solar Energy."
Rishab is a Project Engineer based in Illinois focused on regulatory permits and requirements, stormwater management, surface water system assessments, TMDL development and implementation, and nutrient criteria limit development. He also works with the development and calibration of hydrodynamic, sediment transport and water quality models, including one-dimensional (1-D), 2-D, and 3-D models. He specializes in geographic information system (GIS) analysis and programming in Java, Visual Basic, and database management.
The Fox River Study Group is a diverse coalition of stakeholders working together to assess water quality in the Fox River watershed. Participants include Friends of the Fox River, Sierra Club, Fox River Water Reclamation District (Elgin), Fox Metro Water Reclamation District (Aurora), Fox River Ecosystem Partnership, Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) and Blackberry Creek Watershed Plan Implementation Council as well as representatives from Algonquin, Aurora, Batavia, Crystal Lake, Elgin, Geneva, Island Lake, Kane County, Lake in the Hills, St. Charles and Yorkville.
