Geosyntec Expands Client Service in the Green Bay, Wisconsin Area
Geosyntec is expanding service to new and existing clients from our office at The Docking Station, 111 N. Broadway, Green Bay, Wisconsin 54303.
Our new office will focus on helping clients with remediation of contaminated sites, redevelopment of brownfield sites, environmental management for industrial and utility clients, restoration and management of water and natural resources, waste management, water management, and geotechnical specialty services. Supported by a nationwide team of experts, the office will serve industrial, municipal, and utility clients throughout the region.
The office will be led by Ken Mika, P.E., a Project Engineer based in Green Bay with more than 10 years of professional experience. Ken is a licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan, Missouri, Washington, and Wisconsin. He is a strategic leader with proven ability to evaluate, build, and implement process improvements within and across teams. Ken has experience in data collection in multiple media; staffing/field resource allocation; remedial design; contractor procurement; construction management; industrial compliance; industrial wastewater; air monitoring and sampling; and building and maintaining cooperative teaming relationships. His expertise also includes technology specific treatability studies; extensive material management plans dealing with multiple waste streams; remedial construction utilizing the application of in situ solidification/stabilization (ISS) technology for power utility and property redevelopment clients; and hydraulic and mechanical dredging of contaminated sediment sites for contractors, government, manufacturing, and utility clients.
Chris Robb, P.E. and Neil Couch P.G. will also lead efforts in the region.
Chris Robb, P.E., is a Principal Engineer based in Milwaukee with more than 20 years of experience in environmental consulting, remediation design and construction, quality control, and project management of solid and hazardous waste remediation projects throughout the United States. Chris is a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida, New York, and Wisconsin. Chris' expertise focuses on delivering innovative, implementable, constructible, and cost-effective remediation designs from inception to construction, completion, and closeout. Chris combines his passion for applying best practices in engineering, science and leadership with his understanding of stakeholder goals, and ability to communicate complex technical information across diverse platforms to solve challenging problems, inspire creative-energized teams, and execute effective environmental solutions.
Neil Couch is a Principal Hydrogeologist based in Milwaukee with more than 15 years of experience specializing in the procurement, planning and management of geo-environmental site investigations and remedial actions. He has completed design and implementation of several remedial action plans and has performed environmental sampling in all environmental media. He has sound experience in interpreting analysis of hydrogeologic systems and environmental data. Neil has significant experience designing and implementing site investigations and the preparation of remediation design for manufactured gas plant impacts, coal combustion residual landfill expansion, and fly ash pond closures. He has also conducted geologic and hydrogeologic investigations as it relates to permitting activities, as well as the design and implementation of full-scale remediation systems; such as soil vapor extraction, dual phase extraction, groundwater treatment systems, in-situ biostimulation and bioaugmentation and in-situ smoldering technologies (STAR). Neil has coordinated closely with several local, state and federal regulatory agencies such as USEPA Region 5, Illinois EPA, Indiana DEM, Michigan DEQ, Ohio EPA and Wisconsin DNR.
