Paul Tschirky Presented on Flood Resiliency and Mitigation at the NAREIM Architectural & Engineering Conference
Paul Tschirky, Ph.D., P.Eng., D.CE (Louisiana) presented "Design and modeling for flood risk" at the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM) Architecture & Engineering (A&E) Conference at the South Congress Hotel in Austin, Texas at 8:30 a.m. on September 26, 2019.
Paul is a Senior Principal Coastal Engineer based in Louisiana with more than 20 years of experience in coastal resiliency, restoration, and water management. He has provided planning, design, analysis, modeling, construction documents, and project management for a wide variety coastal and riverine projects for public and private sector clients.
Paul's presentation evaluated new design and construction practices for flood resiliency for existing assets and how investment managers are modeling and mitigating flood risk for new development projects. His co-presenters were Vincent Amendola, BlackRock; and Jerry Speltz, Barings Real Estate Advisers.
