Geosyntec Staff Contribute to the 2019 USSD Conference and Exhibition
Geosyntec professionals will make a substantial technical contribution at the 2019 United States Society on Dams Conference and Exhibition at the Chicago Hilton in Illinois on April 8-11, 2019.
Geosyntec-led contributions include five platform presentations and one session moderator. Geosyntec has also collaborated with universities and other parties in the preparation of conference materials delivered by others. Geosyntec professionals will be at booth #417 to meet with attendees and answer questions about dams and levees.
Geosyntec attendees are Lelio Mejia (California), Joe Goldstein (California), Ali Ebrahimi (Texas), Rodolfo Sancio (Texas), Chris Conkle (California), Jamey Rosen (Ontario, Canada), Glenn Rix (Georgia), Clinton Carlson (Georgia), Lucas de Melo (Maryland), Andrew Higgins (Ontario), Paul Slangen (Maryland), and Lucas Carr (Missouri).
The 2019 United States Society on Dams (USSD) Annual Conference theme echoes Chicago's history of rebuilding and modernization to adapt to changing public needs. Rehabilitation, modification, and revitalization of dams and levees give new life to these existing structures through increased public safety and new or enhanced features. Papers and presentations addressing the conference theme and other technical topics focus on the value of, and need for, dams and levees in society.
The USSD is dedicated to advancing the role of dam and levee systems and building the community of practice. As the United States member of the International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD), USSD provides a forum for the exchange of knowledge and experiences and is charged with leading the profession of dam and levee engineering.
