Geosyntec Staff will attend the Society of American Military Engineers 2022 Joint Engineer Training Conference and Expo

Tamara Hebeler, P.E. (Georgia), Cory Reiter, P.E. (Indiana), Maria Vishnevskiy, P.E. (California), and James Wang, Ph.D, P.E. (Maryland), will attend the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Joint Engineer Training Conference and Expo (JETC) conference at Gaylord's Rocky Resort and Convention Center in Aurora, Colorado, at from May 10 through 12.

James will present on May 11 using natural source zone depletion to transition to sustainable remediation of light nonaqueous phase liquid (LNAPL). Maria, who is on the SAME Greater Kansas City Post Board of Directors, chairs the communications committee, and supports the membership committee, received a Young Professionals stipend from the Greater Kansas City Post to attend the conference. Geosyntec will be exhibiting at Booth 372.

Tamara is an Engineer with more than 22 years of experience focused on civil and environmental engineering. She has been involved in all aspects of design for several large geotechnical, remediation, and waste management projects, including field exploration, project management, preparation of design and construction level drawings, and support of design calculations and specifications. She designs and implements field investigation and monitoring programs and coordinates on-site field teams.

Cory is a Senior Principal Engineer based in Indiana with more than 20 years of experience focused on managing federal civil and environmental projects in the areas of flood control, utility installation, remedial investigations and design, in situ remediation system design and installation, and remedial actions and construction oversight.

Maria is an Engineer with significant experience in flow and transport modeling, engineering design for remediation, process design, vapor intrusion, and site investigation and characterization. She manages large- and small-scale projects and often coordinates geographically distributed teams. On complex projects, Maria manages large data sets and prioritizes workflows to support regulatory negotiation and to advocate for clients.

James is a Principal Environmental Engineer based in Maryland with more than 23 years of experience focused on developing and applying innovative assessment and remediation technologies. He has built his practice by providing clients with cost-effective solutions specifically tailored to solving their most challenging problems.

The 2022 JETC in Colorado will serve as a reunion for members of the military engineering community and the members of the architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry. After two years of hosting JETC virtually, this in-person event will bring together professionals from across the public and private sectors to learn and network in a collaborative setting.
