Joe Cleary, P.E., BCEE to Present on Industrial Water Reuse Trends in UDC CAM-STAR Webinar

Joe Cleary, P.E., BCEE (New York) will present "Industrial Water Reuse Trends" on the University of the District of Columbia's NASA-MIRO: Center for Advanced Manufacturing in Space Technology & Research at UDC (CAM-STAR) webinar at 5:30 p.m. EST on December 1, 2022.

Joe Cleary is a Board-Certified Environmental Engineer based in New Jersey with more than 46 years of experience focused on industrial wastewater, water reuse, energy recovery energy, and the treatment of emerging contaminates including pharmaceuticals and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

NASA-MIRO: Center for Advanced Manufacturing in Space Technology & Research at UDC (CAM-STAR) CAM-STAR focuses on research investigating various Advanced Manufacturing (AM) techniques and their application in Space Exploration Technology and Research. Its educational goals leverage the Center's research activities and the faculty's expertise to prepare a diverse, skilled workforce in AM research and engineering with a focus on Space Technology and Applications.

Abstract

Joe will provide a summary of his over 40 years' experience with industrial Water Reuse Drivers and Metrics, Project Approach, Tools and Risk Assessment, Reuse Considerations and Quality Issues, Treatment Technologies and Case Studies in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, data center and lithium battery manufacturing industries. He also will be discussing pharmaceutical industry water and wastewater trends including vaccine production, active pharmaceutical ingredients such as antibiotics and treatment and water reuse technologies to remove pharmaceutical actives and to achieve zero liquid discharge. Water reuse is a key goal for industrial clients to achieve their sustainability goals and objectives.
