Brent Miller is a Senior Principal Chemical Engineer based in Washington with more than 24 years of consulting and industry experience focused on the evaluation, design, construction, operation, and optimization of soil and groundwater remedial systems and processes for clients throughout the United States.
He manages numerous projects regulated under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and various state regulatory protocols and independent remedial actions.
As a consultant, Brent specializes in direct technical and project management of voluntary, state-governed, and CERCLA remedial investigation and feasibility studies, pilot testing, remedial designs, and operation and maintenance projects for a variety of commercial, industrial, and government entities. He also has extensive experience in providing construction quality assurance and field oversight for site remediation projects. Brent also consults on a variety of contaminated soil and groundwater treatment systems operating in Washington, Oregon, California, Montana, Kansas, Texas, and Ohio. He manages or provides technical support for a number of projects involving process design, stormwater management, construction services, geotechnical engineering, and vapor intrusion assessment and mitigation.
To continue to advance the state of the practice, Brent possesses the skills and experience to bridge the gap between the theoretical and technical planning aspects of a project to the execution and performance of field implementation. He is technical leader in the cost effective implementation and operation of a wide range of remedial systems, particularly in the areas of free product recovery and treatment of chlorinated solvents. He has completed projects in more than 20 states, including management of the remediation of a portfolio of sites in Texas that was nominated by the Texas Railroad Commission for an Environmental Stewardship award.
