Jon Dickinson is the company's Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President for Corporate Services. As CFO, Jon serves as a member of Geosyntec's Executive Committee responsible for strategic guidance, overall performance of the firm, and assuring a high level of service and client satisfaction. He has more than 30 years of professional experience in engineering consulting.
He began his career as a geoenvironmental engineering consultant. Combined with almost three decades of business management leadership, Jon's experience gives him a unique combination of financial and risk analysis with a technical background.
Leading the company's Corporate Services group, Jon's responsibilities encompass accounting, health and safety, human resources, project delivery and information technology in servicing operational needs. He leads Geosyntec's Risk Management Committee that evaluates challenging project opportunities with a focus on finding innovative ways to help clients address project hurdles, assess risk, and maximize their investment returns. Jon has led the development of robust risk assessments and project management programs. He has in-depth knowledge of risk management, contract commercial provisions and insurance products and services for both domestic and international operations. Jon also has a breadth of experience working with in-house and outside legal counsel, managing legal proceedings, and dispute resolutions.
Jon's experience includes strategic and financial evaluations, deal negotiations and structuring, and due diligence and integration strategy for acquisitions and spinoffs. He has significant experience in operational roles, serving previously as President of a subsidiary company, and regularly provides business-strategic guidance, cost analysis, planning, and risk management services. Jon also excels in the identification, development, and deployment of advanced protocols and tools that support commercial endeavors and the ongoing evolution of operational and managerial efficiency.
