Rough River Dam GIS Application

Geosyntec developed and deployed a web-based application to track, analyse, and visualize data collected during grouting operations. This application syncs to on-site grout monitoring equipment to immediately view grout takes and other data in plan and profile views, and in as-built drawings.

The Rough River Dam in Kentucky is an earthen dam rising 135 feet high and spanning 1,590 feet with a maximum capacity of 334,400 acre-foot and has been maintained by United States Army Corps of Engineers Kentucky District since 1959.

We developed a web-based GIS application to facilitate access to the data and automate as-built figure outputs concerning exploratory drilling and grouting activities in support of the dam modification project.
