Tim is a Principal Consultant based in England with more than 18 years of experience focused on the analysis, assessment, decommissioning and demolition of nuclear structures, with a detailed understanding of the regulator, safety and The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM) requirements.
Examples of Tim's diverse practice experience include serving as: Business Lead for all company decommissioning projects at IDOM, including responsibility for the provision of specialist technical, strategic, managerial, and commercial support to decommissioning projects in Spain (Santa María de Garoña Nuclear Power Plant) and Mexico (Laguna Verde Nuclear Power Plant), as well as providing specialist technical and commercial support to Spanish utility Endesa for a 30% reduction in their operational costs; Director of Consultancy at NUKEM Technologies GmbH, where he developed the United Kingdom consulting strategy, incorporating it into the overall corporate strategy, and successfully entering NUKEM into the nuclear professional services market in the United Kingdom; Project Director for the design of a near-surface engineered disposal facility required to accept all waste from past activities in Iraq, as well as future waste to be produced in the country; and Director at Westlakes Engineering, where Tim was responsible for the strategic and operational management of the businesses energy sector and key account holder for a number of clients, including Sellafield Ltd, Springfields Fuels Ltd, Magnox, and LLW Repository Ltd.
Tim has been a Proposals Manager and Director responsible for successful framework and multi-million-pound design and construction tenders for Site Licence Companies (SLC) and clients across the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) Estate, and Europe. In all of his roles, Tim has managed to secure and deliver framework contracts on all NDA and operational sites within the United Kingdom civil nuclear estate.
A Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (FICE), Tim is a professional reviewer for the Institution as well as the Nuclear Institute at all levels, from Technician to Chartered Professional. He is also a management team member of Britain's Energy Coast Business Cluster, which is a private sector led group of over 300 organizations, ranging in size from sole traders and small and medium-sized enterprises to global blue-chip corporations.
